Rize province and its regions are located in the Colchis (Colchis) part of the Euro-Siberian flora region from the Euro-Siberian, Irano-Turanian and Mediterranean (Mediterranean) regions, which are the 3 major flora regions of our country in terms of plant geography. The Euro-Siberian flora area in Turkey is divided into two parts by the Melet River in Ordu province. The section in the east is called Kolchik and the section in the west is called Öksin.
